Surprise!

28 May 2008 at 4:55 pm (erotica, new releases) ()

LOL, looks like “Viva Los Regalos: Cocked Dice” will debut tomorrow instead of next week. I probably had the days all mixed up! Anyway, I’ve put a link to the book page on the cover, so you can click there to get to the book at Changeling Press.

Here’s a sneak peek, just for you blog readers. R rated excerpt :D!

“You like an easy piece of ass.”

His hand landed hard on her ass and Amy cried out, a sound caught between a screech and a scream. “Shut up, Amy, before you really piss me off.”

Enraged, Amy balled her hands into fists. She was in an unwieldy position, but there was no damn way she’d let him get away with spanking her. She lifted her fists, aiming for his kidneys, when an odd thought struck her. Opening her right hand, she slammed the palm against the taut ridge of his left ass cheek. Hard.

Vince stumbled and Amy smiled with feral pleasure. “Don’t spank me again, Vince.”

His palm slapped against her bottom in retort. A little harder than before, hard enough to really sting. Amy gasped as intense waves of desire vibrated outward from the impact point, over the wet lips of her sex, up her spine, and back down to her pussy. Trying to ignore the tight ball of need burning hot and strong in her belly, and a little unnerved by the intensely sexual sensations radiating outward from her bottom, she decided two could play at this game. Amy opened her other fist and slapped Vincent’s ass again.

She didn’t miss his harsh groan or the tightening of his arms around her thighs. While her desire grew less out of the pain of the smacks but from her already heightened state of sexual arousal, she knew Vince’s reaction was all about the spanking.

When his large palm landed on her backside again, the direction of their jaunt was clear. They didn’t say a word as Vince continued to haul her toward the Dusty Star. The steady sound of flesh meeting cloth-covered bottoms was the conversation. She shivered as her pussy grew wetter, but she returned his volley nonetheless.

Vince reciprocated with a muffled groan. Amy moaned and returned the favor. Over and over. Halfway between The Luxy Lady and the Dusty Star, Vince stopped and literally beat her ass, landing blow after blow, until Amy was on the verge of bawling from pure sexual frustration. One glancing caress over her pussy and she’d burst apart.

“Vincent!” She screamed his name, writhed on his shoulder. She smelled herself on the air, the erotically musky scent of feminine arousal unmistakable.

His breathing was harsh, labored. “Are you going to stop?” The words vibrated through his chest.

“No!” Amy pummeled on his backside, crying out when he slammed them into the side of a building. Her sore ass ached, throbbed, against the cool façade of stone. The cold against the fire of her skin enhanced her pain, enraged her desire, and she sobbed, caught in a web of agony and ecstasy.

Belated Memorial Day Greetings

27 May 2008 at 3:21 am (Uncategorized)

For those of you who remembered loved ones yesterday, blessed be. My family and I visited the graves of my grandparents and great grandparents. My Gpa served in the Navy during Korea and I was moved by the large flag placed in front of his grave by the family who tend the small cemetery where he and Gma are buried.

It was a little sad for us all. Gma just died last year. But seeing the other flowers and wreaths that were left made gave me some comfort that my family and I aren’t the only ones remembering.

One more about network television…

22 May 2008 at 12:03 am (the boob tube) ()

then I’m moving on, I promise, ROFL!

About the Criminal Minds finale. WTF? Is one of the BAU team dead? More than one? Why in the hell do all the writers for my frequently watched shows seem to have lost their minds?! Do all of these freaks think, as Hart Hanson of Bones stated (paraphrased) that their audiences are getting blase about the shows and they need to shake watchers up? Excuse me? These four shows have done nothing but gain audience, so why in the world would they think we need to be shaken?

I’ll tell you what I need. I need a television show to stick to it’s ‘bible’, it’s codex, instead of just pulling shit out of their asses in order to write someone off (Bones). I need a show to realize that after three or four years, I’m invested in the characters. So unless the actor portraying the character is wanting out, killing a character off/shuttling them to Timbukto (NCIS and maybe Criminal Minds) is liable to piss me, and lots of other fans, off. And having a main character suddenly act completely OUT of character is guaranteed to have me deleting your show from my taping schedule (House and Bones). I’m tired of sweeps week/month and rating spree bullshit. Tell me an engaging story with characters I want to get to know and stick to it. I doubt I’m the only fan out there who believes being treated like an idiot or being ’shaken up’ is over-the-top cliche and completely overrated.

Holy Schmoly, imagine the kind of uproar we’d be seeing if the American Idol winner this year turned out to be… I don’t know… What’s his name? Hung. Yeah, Mr. Hung. If out of the blue, the winner was named and it was William Hung. The followers of American Idol would have been out with torches. Serial television fans aren’t any different than reality television fans, in so much as we happen to like same old, same old as long as you keep the story interesting and gripping. And trust me, as a writer, I can tell you that killing off characters for no reason and not following the rules of the world one creates is the best way to piss off fans and find yourself out of a job.

Agog, aghast, and a little down

20 May 2008 at 6:16 pm (the boob tube) ()

Okay, so House is like tied for my favorite television series. It’s strongest competition is Bones and NCIS - when my fav British TV isn’t on, cause Wire In The Blood is my favorite show, hands down.

Anywho, so last night aired both House and Bones season finales. OMFG, I won’t be needing any sappy music/songs/books to bawl to in the near future. I’m not really the sappy kind in the first place, but holy schmoly, I needed serious tissues last night.

First, what in the hell were the writers of Bones thinking? Zach was Gormogon’s apprentice?! Huh? What the hell did I miss - and it must have been something pretty damn big. I mean, the whole dialog between Zach and Bones in the hospital where he confesses, I was like, what in the hell is going on? How could Zach have fallen into Gorgonzola’s clutches and no one noticed? Further, I’m a bit pissed off at the actor who plays Zach. I mean, sure, I get that you don’t want to give away the surprise, but I don’t like to be lied to anymore than the next guy/gal. So when he does umpteen interviews saying that he’s still on the show, I gotta wonder in what capacity. Do the Squints take bones to him in the psych ward? Um, hello, he’s going bye bye for a while. Needless to say, I am not a happy Bones fan this morning.

No, onto House. Okay, so I’m not real sure why it is that the writers over at House, MD think that every season finale has to feature Dr. House dying/hallucinating/overdosing/putting himself at serious risk. It’s been like four years, can we think up something new? Anyway, so sorry to spoil it if you haven’t watched it yet and want to, but WTF? Amber dies? She’s got the flu, she’s taking meds for it, but because her kidneys were destroyed in the bus accident that also seriously cracked House’s skull, she’s dead. There’s nothing anyone can do for her because the flu meds bind proteins and without kidneys to filter the drug out of her system… well, in short, she was dead as soon as the crash happened and it took the entire finale (two shows) to realize that Amber wasn’t going to make it. It was sad, Wilson totally loved her and she loved him too. But worse, is this whole thing with House being really upset about her dying - sort of odd for House - and even more upset about Wilson hating him because of Amber’s death. Now look, they weren’t screwing. House called Wilson to pick him up from a bar, Wilson was on call, and Amber chose to go pick up House in Wilson’s stead. Then House decides he doesn’t want Amber to take him home, he’s gonna take the bus, but leaves his cane at the bar. Amber gets on the bus to return House’s cane and so she’s with him when the accident happens. And that’s the whole point.

It was an accident and House doesn’t really have any blame. I mean, he called someone to pick up his drunk ass - so I guess if he hadn’t been drunk, ergo and etc. but smarter to call a ride than try to get home shit-faced. So, I’m not exactly an ecstatic House fan this morning either. I mean, seriously, if House barely got upset with himself over the whole using Wilson to support his habit, which nearly caused Wilson to lose his license, and then almost got him arrested… Why the hell would being there when his girlfriend died be more sorrowful for House? And, if Wilson could forgive him for all of that… well, let me just say that love is a powerful thing, but to use it to put a wall between House and Wilson seems… cheap. I mean, House has fucked Wilson over for ever and Wilson stays strong as his friend. And this time, House didn’t fuck Wilson over, in fact nearly killed himself trying to save Amber, but this is what Wilson won’t forgive him for? Whatever.

Now, tonight is NCIS’ season finale. I’m pretty sure that Lauren Holly, aka Director Jenny Shepherd is going to bite the big one tonight, but I’m telling you right now, if the character that dies ends up being DeNozo or David, I think I may have to give up American television for a good long while.

updated to add: Yup, Director Shepherd went down in a hail of bullets. Bummer, but she was dying from an unknown illness already. Gibbs is gonna chew Denozo and David new assholes, but at least they’re still kickin’.

updated again: That’s f*ing it! Yeah, Denozo and David are alive, but they are gone. G-O-N-E. WTF?! McGee is moved off, Denozo goes to sea, David heads back to Israel, and Gibbs is probably gonna quit - again. Only this time, Mark Harmon won’t be back. I swear, writers are getting even - either that or the big three television companies are determined to piss off as many viewers as possible.

A *squee* moment

19 May 2008 at 1:58 pm (reviews) ()

The lovely Elizabeth Marie, with Just Erotic Romance Reviews, complimented “Pret Ops: Identity” with a 5 Star, O-rated review! Here’s a snipped:

Identity is a scorching hot paranormal ménage that you’ll swallow whole, no aid required…and so enjoyable I remain on a high as I write this review. Identity has been so delicious I hunger for much more!”

Major thanks to Elizabeth for writing an awesome, energetic, and enthusiastic review! It does this author’s heart good, LOL!

It’s Friday…

16 May 2008 at 12:47 pm (Vampires, tv) ()

And I’ve just been thrown for a loop. Finally, after a season of back and forth and hemming and hawing, Beth and Mick look like they might actually get together on CBS’ “Moonlight” and — The Bastards canceled the show!? WTF? Who’s in charge over there? There’s no good sci-fi/paranormal stuff on TV anymore, I swear *huffy sigh*

I know a lot of folks love “Supernatural” but to be honest, I never really got into it. Not sure why. And BSG is about to go off forever too, so there goes that one. The only plus is the Sookie Stackhouse series coming to HBO, but that isn’t until the fall. Where or where will I get my paranormal TV fix? Anyone have an idea? Any suggestions? I’m open to anything :)
